Oleevia's life, love, work, school, internship, travel & ALL THAT JAZZ |
I cant believe that the only thing left is the final . It honestly makes me want to have an extra week just to study !! :( So much has gone by this year and I have also learned so much !
Winter break is coning up and that means traveling !!! Im going to New York from 1/5 - 1/12 so i shall be uploading text and picturea left and right !!! :)
The bold and beautiful cast ! ♥ Theyre such wonderful people !! So sweet and welcoming !!
This past week was definitely full of excitement and surprises!
Sometimes, one just doesn’t know what to expect ahead of them!
That was my case last week.
The week started off with school full of tests and assignments to prep for. CBS was just going to be the extra icing on the cake for me.
Tuesday was the day that my Episode on B&B aired! … Might I say that it was very embarrasing? :(However, on Wednesday Rachel, my internship coordinator, called me and told me that Cindy, one of our directors, wanted me to be another extra for the cafe scene again. ( just to redeem myself) YAY!
4:00 wake up call
6:20 Train
8:00 CBS Arrival!
I was on set by 11 :00 am and off set by 11:40! It was a success!
However, it got really hectic on set because we were going to filming a pretty big scene on set! We had Extras, the Laker Girls and Michael Buffer on set as well as Suzanne Marques from KCAL 9 to report on the laker girls making a tv appearance!
It was also a treat because, Ashely, a student of Fullerton College, is a laker girl AND she was one of my classmates in English class! It was a real treat to see her there on set!
I worked closely with Michael Buffer and helped out the Laker girls and even did some networking with Suzanne marquez! It was quite the day!

This REAL gingerbread house is worth 15K!!!! You can buy it from NEIMAN MARCUS just in time for the holiday season !!!!
CBS .. to me … is turning into a place where doors of opportunity continues to open. I begin to finally realize how to work my way around certain feelings and or certain people. I am FINALLY adjusting to it!
It was really hard at first … only because I was not used to having people always mind their own business. They can be friendly one second and the next, well.. i rather not say !
Now, i’ve figured them out. I feel like I know when to talk to them and when not to. It’s always been fun working there… but NOW… I’m having a blast!
I meet so many new people every week! For example, this week I met a fellow intern from Y&R . We just talked and he told me about his dad’s career at CBS and the many memories he’s had just by visiting “dad at work.” Another one would be these two Stage managers from Price is Right. They told me stories that would be from before my time!
It’s so surreal to hear all these stories and the drama that goes on behind the Elephant doors !!
Lately I have been talking to and getting to know Cindy, one of the five directors for the show. As I was talking to her, I began to have these images of a profile interview. This week I talked to someone at CSUF and they liked my pitch! :)
I was really excited~ I got the consent from Cindy, and we are going to be going over the pre-production outline with her next week!
I’ll continue to update ! It’s really hard trying to do this on a weekly basis. BUT i’ll try!
( The pictures below are kind of old… the first two are from the santa monica location shoot and the last one is from the B&B book signing … I was interviewing some of the cast members)

I met this girl today while waiting for the bus.
She told me about her life and basically a testimony on how she changed her life around a full 180 degrees. It was amazing!
We began to talk about FAITH and GOD.
I feel like I am being tested every single day… especially with patience and CBS. She made me realize that I am probably being tested to leave my bubble and to mix with the different people out there.
Honestly, it can be pretty hard… especially with some of the people there. I think this is the first time in a really long time that I felt out of place? Not all the time ..but there are definitely certain times when i do.
Is this how society is in LA? If so,… I’m not liking it as much as I thought I would. Maybe I just need to build character and build up a wall that guards my heart. Maybe.. I just need to be immune to all that goes on. It’s probably not personal.. but still…it would be nice to just be happy all the time like KBS.
Life is full of obstacles and I know that THIS is one of them. I hope that I can overcome it and FINISH the rest of the time with a BANG!
So, I am going to attempt to keep this blogging thing going on every week. Hopefully I will get something good out of it :)
I have currently been interning with Bold and the Beautiful (CBS) for 7 weeks. It has definitely been full of ups and downs and even some crazy times. I think I have gotten to the point where I now know how to work things as well as the people.
It was more complex than KBS America, my previous internship. The cultural differences as well as the atmosphere of the working environment is completely different!
I have made some new friends and have kept in close touch with some old~
So far, I’ve been to TWO location shootings: 1. Santa Monica Pier 2. SkidRow! ( may I add that, it was a true experience on its own.)
My co-interns are amazing! Most of us get along really well! I’ve grown real close with the interns that I work with on Tuesdays and Thursdays !
The coolest thing so far is that I am able to work closely with Cindy, who is one of the 5 directors for the show! She is a CSUF Alumni and might I add that I am so proud to be attending the very school she has walked out of.
Cindy is a full-time EMMY award winning director, who has worked twenty some years at CBS. She basically started when the pilot came out for B&B. Though she was not a director to start off with, her journey there was amazing.
Hopefully, I will get an interview that I can post on here!
This week our studios goes DARK. This means that there are no shooting schedules nor are there any taping that goes on.
During lunch time, my coordinator and I went for some errands near the Grove, and as we were walking back, I locked eyes with someone that looked quite familiar!!!
It was Wallace Langham, who plays HODGES on CSI: Las Vegas. The experience was really different. I don’t know how to explain the initial recognition…but it was very quick. He was really good looking in person. Along with Langham, characters Nick, David, and Greg were present as well. :) Very happy day!
Towards the end of the day I was able to go down to AVID 92, which is one of the two post editing stations for our show.
It was a fun day filled with lots of bonding and exciting experiences!

This is one of the editing rooms. ( AVID 91) to be exact.
